Lindway Springs Wood
Lindway Springs Wood
A mature woodland of mainly beech and oak. In the past, it has been claimed that the remains of ancient huts or pitsteads can be found in the wood. However, it has been suggested that these may be the remains of bell-pits from an early method of extracting coal.
