NO4402 : Blocks on the beach

taken 7 years ago, near to Drumeldrie, Fife, Great Britain

Blocks on the beach
Blocks on the beach
When these concrete anti-tank defences were erected by Polish troops in 1940 they were on top of the line of sand dunes that then marked high water mark. Coastal erosion has demolished these dunes and today's high water mark can now be seen well north of where the blocks now lie, vertically below where they were originally placed.
