Foxgloves and sweet chestnut trees in the Pondhead Inclosure, New Forest
Many of the cleared areas in the Pondhead Inclosure are covered with foxglove plants, as can be seen here. The two trees beyond the foxgloves are relatively young sweet chestnut. The area was first enclosed in 1810 and there are some fully-grown sweet chestnut elsewhere in the inclosure.
