Bedd Arthur
Bedd Arthur
Unlike the much more impressive looking natural 'stone circle' LinkExternal link nearby, Bedd Arthur is actually a neolithic site. These rocks have been placed in an oval array on levelled ground. The precise purpose of the site at the time it was built is unknown. Bedd Arthur LinkExternal link is listed in the Coflein[1] database of ancient and historic monuments of Wales.
1. Coflein
The Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales (RCAHMW) maintains a web data base ('Coflein') of all the records it holds. Each data set has a short description and is classified in terms of period and function, and sources of surveys of the location are given. Search Coflein at: LinkExternal link
