Sutton Scarsdale Hall
Sutton Scarsdale Hall
South wings around an open courtyard of the ruined Georgian mansion, re-modeled from an earlier building in 1724 by Francis Smith of Warwick for Nicholas, fourth Earl of Scarsdale. Once one of the finest country houses in Derbyshire, it has been roofless since 1919 when its interiors were dismantled and some exported to the Philadelphia museum in the USA.
