NG1642 : North from The Hoe

taken 8 years ago, near to Ramasaig, Highland, Great Britain

North from The Hoe
North from The Hoe
Looking towards Ramasaig from the north eastern facing slopes of The Hoe. The white spots among the grass are the seed heads of cotton grass. Ramasiag is a remote and now virtually deserted township, which was depopulated during the Highland clearances. On the left are the cliffs of Ramasaig Cliff and Waterstein Head (in cloud).
