Brandon Railway Station
Brandon Railway Station
Brandon was the meeting point of two railway companies. The Norwich to Brandon Railway which joined with the Norwich to Yarmouth Railway Company to become the Norfolk Railway Company along with the Eastern Counties Railway Company, building a line from Cambridge to Brandon via Ely. Both railways opened in July 1845 (not the Yarmouth line, that was the first in Norfolk) with a fine flint station building that was the pride of the town. The friends of Brandon Station hope to revive this for the town.

The signal man was watching me and through a speaker shouted "don't you dare" thinking I was about the cross without using the footbridge.
