Footpath junction near Chapel Bank Farm
Footpath junction near Chapel Bank Farm
A bridleway from Appledore Road leads straight on towards Chapel Bank Farm (in the background) near Reading Street. A footpath leads left up Chapel Bank, towards Luckhurst Farm.
Chapel Bank was formerly known as Ebony (Ebon's Ey or Ebon's Island) and once, as the name suggests, an island in the Rother tidal estuary that ran around the northern side of Oxney.
