Footpath on Chapel Bank
Footpath on Chapel Bank
A footpath from Chapel Bank Farm near Reading Street leads up Chapel Bank (hillock). Which was formerly known as Ebony (Ebon's Ey or Ebon's Island) and once, as the name suggests, an island in the Rother tidal estuary that ran around the northern side of Oxney. The path then leads down to Luckhurst Farm on Lower Road.
