The Interior of the Church of St Botolph, Skidbrooke
A corner of the church that had Pevsner baffled. The recess looks as though there was a window at the top, but there is no evidence outside. It also looks like there was a buttress, as at the tower end of the church, and that it was taken out as the church took shape.
It may be that the builders, Bodgit and Leggit, got the ends of the church mixed up and thought this was to be the tower end.
