Above Whiteworks. The leat was constructed at the end of the eighteenth century and was 21.25 miles long in all. It was still in use as far as Dousland - 17 miles from its intake - in 1934 and now runs to Burrator reservoir. The lane to Whiteworks can be seen descending below the leat on the right
