Dartmoor Forest: Whiteworks tin mine
Dartmoor Forest: Whiteworks tin mine
One of the largest tin mines on Dartmoor, last worked effectively in about 1876. The mine was operational in 1820-1825 and again in the 1860s. A remote site in the heart of Dartmoor. Only ruined walls and old shafts are visible today
