SK2373 : Footpath through Bank Wood North

taken 7 years ago, near to Hassop, Derbyshire, Great Britain

Footpath through Bank Wood North
Footpath through Bank Wood North
Mixed woodland which follows a high ridge to the north east of Hassop. The gated clearing ahead marks the entrance to Bank Wood North, while the canopy of trees to the right forms a protective shield against the incongruous scar on the landscape that is Back Dale Mine.
