Summit of Chapel Fell
Summit of Chapel Fell
Chapel Fell is a moorland mountain lying between Teesdale and Weardale; its summit area is a chaos of peat hags, peat banks and bogs so plateau-like as to render the locating of the highest point almost impossible. This cairn is the main contender for the top spot and it lies some way to the north of the highest spot height given by the Ordnance Survey.
