Ploughing unearths the stones
Ploughing unearths the stones
When a field is ploughed in this area your first crop is stones. These have to be removed before any other field works can be done. They are normally taken to the headland of the field, but sometimes moved right away to be tipped in an old quarry or possibly used to help control erosion on a river bank.
