Green Lodge
Green Lodge
The picture is taken from the start of the path from White Lodge to Eaton. From 1903-13 the field in the foreground was one of the shallow ironstone quarries of the Eastwell Iron Ore Company, served by its narrow-gauge railway. Quarrying in the Eastwell, White Lodge, Eaton and Branston areas finally ended in the 1960s.
