Eaton Branch: bridge abutment and Waltham spire
Eaton Branch: bridge abutment and Waltham spire
Only the limestone-and-blue-brick abutments of the bridge which carried the Great Northern Railway Eaton Branch over the Harby-Waltham road remain. The line closed in 1964, along with the ironstone quarries it had served. The spire of the church of St Mary Magdalene at Waltham on the Wolds shows above the trees in the distance.
