Unusual house, Conon Bridge
This attractive house may not look out of place in Surrey. But it stands amid many typical Highland-style stone built houses close to the centre of Conon Bridge village near Inverness. The house is Category B listed. The listing report states: 'Possibly W L Carruthers circa 1905. 2-storey, 3-bay Arts and Crafts house. Harled with bell-cast, red tile-hanging between ground and 1st floor of the bows flanking wide, tripartite central door (cornice shallow arched over door, straight over side lights). Casement windows with small panes. Roof swept over deep eaves. Westmoreland slate piended roof, red ridge and Arts and Crafts finials, 3 corniced stacks. Rear projection and extension.'
