Tarbet Hole
Tarbet Hole
This is the eastern part of the inlet which, at high tide, cuts the islet of Rona off from the Isle of May proper. There was a bridge across the narrowest part, but it has been demolished and Rona is now out of bounds to visitors. The resident birds on Rona were described by the Warden as 'unfriendly'.
