View NE, buffer-stops would have been ahead to left: terminus of ex-Midland branch from Aldridge, which was closed to passengers on 31/3/30 but remained open for goods until 3/9/62 - just after this photograph. Since 1985 the Heritage Chasewater Railway has operated northward from near here ('Brownhills West') a mile or two along the track of a former colliery line.
