Remnants of Weston Airfield
Remnants of Weston Airfield
These buildings, and a remaining hangar are all that remain of Weston Airfield. Built in the 1930s, the airfield saw brief success before the War - especially with a shuttle service to Cardiff, where the Sunday service was especially busy since the pubs were closed on Sundays in Cardiff...

Converted to an RAF base during the war and then the main site for U.K. Helicopter manufacture until decline in the 1980s. Although these buildings are now derelict, nearby is the Helicopter Museum, which has a most impressive collection of retired and restored helicopters.
