NO2573 : Deer fence on Mayar

taken 8 years ago, 3 km from Acharn, Angus, Great Britain

Deer fence on Mayar
Deer fence on Mayar
The sign explains: Corrie Fee National Nature Reserve. This fence stops grazing animals from damaging some of Scotland's rarest plants which grow here in Corrie Sharroch.
It is a heavily-braced 2m high fence along the plateau above the cliffs. The similarity in the vegettion on the two sides of the fence suggests that either it is not working or grazing is not important at this location (probably the latter).
