NO1978 : Hummocky patterned ground

taken 8 years ago, near to Cairn of Claise [hill or Mountain], Aberdeenshire, Great Britain

Hummocky patterned ground
Hummocky patterned ground
Probably caused by ice in the ground (during winter). These features are so fresh it suggests that they are still active. This is an arctic feature, the last time I saw such a good example was in Iceland.
(Please suggest geographical feature - no provision for Hummock, Hump, Patterned ground, Arctic feature, Periglacial feature etc...)
