The Jubilee in question was the Silver Jubilee of King George V and Queen Mary in 1935, when the then Lord of the Manor, Wilfrid Vere Doughty, donated the "rest", as it was known as, to the people of Ickleford. As Malcolm notes in his autumnal view of the rear of it TL1831 : England's most beautiful bus shelter it is now in use as a bus shelter on the route to Letchworth Garden City.
