St Agnes' Church
St Agnes' Church
This church in the Bury Road was built, initially as a private chapel, by Caroline Agnes, Duchess of Montrose in memory of her husband William Stuart Stirling Crawford. The architect was R.H. Carpenter and the building was dedicated in 1887. The adjoining parish hall was erected alongside in 1937. This northern aspect is illuminated only late on a midsummer evening, as seen here.
