Brynamman East Station (remains)
Brynamman East Station (remains)
View eastward, towards Ystalyfera and Swansea (St Thomas); 'Brynamman LMS' until 1950, this was the terminus of the isolated ex-Midland line from Swansea (St Thomas) via Ystalyfera. It was just across the road from but not connected to the Great Western station SN7113 : Brynamman West Station. It was closed to passengers on 25/9/1950 and to goods on 28/9/1964.

Note added 2020: Although the two companies' passenger stations were completely separate as Ben states, there was a freight-only link between the two lines, which can be seen in the slight cutting on the left of the above picture.
