The Destruction of a Valley
The Destruction of a Valley
Looking from the side of Upright Cliff across to Smoothlands we see a valley slowly being taken apart by powerful erosive forces. The right hand valley side is being eroded by the sea and where it has cut through to the valley floor the stream has found a quicker route to the sea and cut a deep gorge in the valley floor and leaving the far side dry.
