ST4757 : East Twin Brook upper valley

taken 8 years ago, near to Burrington, North Somerset, Great Britain

East Twin Brook upper valley
East Twin Brook upper valley
Not the headwater as that is moorland over the crest seen, as shown in the winter summer pictures, but the now slumped fine material soils that used to be a high rise to the ridge right top, the soils in the incised channel were not flowing, the sediment is down in the East Twin Swallet, blocked : a new small basin in contrast to the clastic fragment Ellick soils with incised stream and marsh opposite, left centre. The stream is all blocks of rock and some of the slab cascade difficult to see, tree growth much above the 8 foot items of 1969. Footpath erosion now means dangerous walks are not "jungle" bracken wading.
