Peat cutting at Tarras Rig
Peat cutting at Tarras Rig
The cutting and drying of peats is an unusual sight in the Southern Uplands and a scene more likely to be encountered in the highlands. Viewed in mid June on the north side of the minor road between Langholm and Newcastleton with Whita Hill in the distance to the left.
