Coasteering at the Blue Lagoon
Coasteering at the Blue Lagoon
Natural and man made facilities are being used for adventure activities. As this is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, coasteering routes have been agreed by the National Trust with local Outdoor Pursuits Centres.
The Blue Lagoon, Abereiddy
The Blue Lagoon at Abereiddy is the result of a coastal slate quarry being breached and flooded following its closure in 1904.

This area is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest because of its high geological and biological value. It is owned and cared for by the National Trust.

It is also of great interest because of its industrial past with ruins of the quarry workings and quarrymen's cottages.
