SX7769 : Small meadow east of White Eagle

Small meadow east of White Eagle
Small meadow east of White Eagle
Its area is less than a hectare - say two acres: not unusual in the locality. In this countryside of winding lanes between high hedgebanks, identifying features and understanding where they are is largely dependant on views from gates whose position is arbitrary (as far as the Geographer is concerned). Here we can see what's going on in SX7767. The clump of broadleaved trees standing proud, top centre, must be Ruggadon Plantation, a little below the summit of the hill. Below it and to the right is a plantation mostly of conifers. The feature named as Hooper Hayes Copse on the map is the small clump projecting to the left, on the skyline. They are three separate features although they appear as one.
