Moine Mhor, the Great Bog
Moine Mhor, the Great Bog
This is the highest large-scale peat bog in Britain, but has suffered from historical overgrazing and trampling by red deer and, more recently, a hard winter that has disrupted the upstanding elements as seen here. It's almost impossible to cross dryshod when it's like this. A high level estate track (off picture) makes things easy.
