The Staines and West Drayton Railway was completed to its Staines terminus in 1885, and taken over by the Great Western Railway in 1900. Closure came in 1965. The site of TQ0272 : Staines Moor: Former railway bridge is where the opening is in the distance beyond the first green tunnel.
