The Allt Ladaidh, Glengarry Forest
The Allt Ladaidh, or Laddie Burn, means the burn of the mill lead. At one time there were several mills in the area, including a saw mill at which fir trees from the local area were processed (ref Place Names of Glengarry and Glenquoich, Edward C Ellice, 2nd edition 1931).
