SK9917 : Field of flax in blossom

near to Castle Bytham, Lincolnshire, Great Britain

Field of flax in blossom
Field of flax in blossom
Flax is a traditional crop in England, but far more of it has been grown in the last two decades. Fields of the blue flowers are only visible like this for a couple of weeks, but are far less intrusive than oil seed rape

This field is off Holywell Road, south of Castle Bytham.
