Corn Mill at Gunton
Corn Mill at Gunton
The saw mill also did some corn grinding as well as. This example was driven by the east water wheel. The upper French stone is fixed while the bottom rotates, it isn't used much these days due to it being difficult to clean. It was bought in 1868 for 60 from Ransomes & Sims. Refurbished by millwright Richard Seago in 1998 it could produce flour of reasonable quaility.
