St Mary's church > Link is of Norman origins and was built on the site of an older place of worship. The Norman church had a central tower the Norman blank arcading of which can still clearly be seen on the exterior walls. The chancel is believed to have collapsed sometime during the 16th century, the site where it once stood is marked by a slight elevation immediately to the east of the tower. The ruined south transept > Link is thought to have been added during the 13th century. South porch > Link and aisle date from the 15th century. The church was extensively restored in the late 19th century and has a baptismal font > Link dating from this time. The gilded and painted angels > Link flanking the chancel arch came from St Mary Magdalene's church in Sandringham.
