SO8121 : Maisemore Bridge

taken 8 years ago, near to Maisemore, Gloucestershire, Great Britain

Maisemore Bridge
Maisemore Bridge
The bridge carries the A417, and incidentally the Three Choirs Way, across the western arm of the River Severn to Alney Island. It dates from 1956 LinkExternal link and is the first arch bridge upstream of the mouth; "this bridge cannot be photographed properly without a boat". I'd concur with that, but this is an attempt.
