Heath conservation village - Cobbler's Hall
This grade II listed former school, c1740, constructed using Hammer-dressed stone with raised ashlar quoins and band, with a stone slate hipped roof and two large original brick stacks.
From 1749 to the 1780s this was a finishing school for young men destined for the army and navy. It was the village post office for a time, located in the right side of the building. The Post Office closed c1963, but the post box and phone box, (resited to left of building), remain. Now converted to three dwellings.
