NH4209 : Loch Tarff

taken 8 years ago, near to Glendoebeg, Highland, Great Britain

Loch Tarff
Loch Tarff
The vegetated island and the little spit beside it are easily recognised from the maps. Amazingly, though you'd think a deer would easily manage to cross the narrow strip of water to the island, they evidently don't, or at least not in large enough numbers to prevent the regeneration of woodland on this and other islands in the loch. Beyond the loch, the B862 follows the flank of Carn an t-Suidhe (540 metres) in NH4410.
