St Martin's church > Link is situated in the grounds of Houghton Hall. The re-faced flint walls contain a medieval building which was refurbished in the 16th century and partially rebuilt in the 18th century. The 'birdbath' font > Link dates from this time. The chancel stalls have C17 backs and unusual carvings > Link of figures, and in the nave the best display of hatchments to the Walpole and Cholmondeley families can be seen.
