Blakey Junction Railway Bridge
Blakey Junction Railway Bridge
The bridge carried the old Hutton-le-Hole to Castleton road over the Farndale and Rosedale ironstone railway. it was the only bridge on the line over the railway. The west parapet is still intact and visible and the foundation of the east parapet is still visible at ground level running in the grass in front of the blue car towards the yellow van. I suspect that the rest of the bridge is still intact and buried. The road has been re-aligned to form a junction with the new road from Hutton-le-Hole.
