St Martin's church > Link is situated in the grounds of Houghton Hall. The re-faced flint walls contain a medieval building which was refurbished in the 16th century and partially rebuilt in the 18th century. The 'birdbath' font > Link dates from this time. The chancel stalls have C17 backs and unusual carvings of figures, and in the nave the best display of hatchments to the Walpole and Cholmondeley families can be seen.
