SH8907 : Edge of Craig Fawr

taken 8 years ago, near to Pentre-Celyn, Powys, Great Britain

Edge of Craig Fawr
Edge of Craig Fawr
From this angle, Craig Fawr simply does not exist apart from a layer of prominent rocks marking the outcrop of another bed of sandstone. The grass slope is extremely steep beyond the edge, and the slope steepens further over the shaley mudstone outcrop seen from below in SH8907 : Nant Carfan. In the far distance the turbines of Mynydd y Cemais SH8708 : Wind turbines on the Mynydd y Cemais ridge can be seen against the skyline.
