SD3896 : Western shore of Windermere

taken 8 years ago, near to Bowness-on-Windermere, Cumbria, Great Britain

Western shore of Windermere
Western shore of Windermere
A long stretch of the western side of Windermere is owned by the National Trust, so there is public access to the shore.
The shoreline has been eroded, exposing the roots of the ash tree in the foreground.
The trees in the background are on islands. The largest is Belle Isle, on the right.
