The Telford Church, Ulva
The Telford Church, Ulva
The church was designed by Thomas Telford and built between 1827 and 1828 for a cost of 1,500. Dedicated to St. Ewan of Arstraw the nearest wing has now been partitioned off for use for worship. The remainder of the building is used as a community hall. The church boasts that in 1847 everyone on Ulva attended services including one catholic and one atheist.
