Heathery ridge and one erratic
Heathery ridge and one erratic
Walking across towards Rannoch, I started to come across very rounded boulders with thick encrustations of black lichen, which I believe to be erratics of a granite geology emanating from the Rannoch area. At the time I considered the boulders at Corrour (NN4270) to be the Easternmost, but this photo shows a very similar one on the broad ridge SW of Meall Cruaidh. It probably came on a glacier from the West. Loch Ericht and Beinn Udlamain are in the background.
