Digging for Lugworms - Castle Cove
Digging for Lugworms - Castle Cove
The Lugworm (Arenicola marina) is used for bait by sea anglers. At low tide their casts are visible on the surface of the sand so it is easy to know where to dig. This seashore is covered with them. There were a few plump worms in the yellow bucket filled with water and seaweed. [[LinkExternal link]].
Across the harbour is Portland with a tablecloth of low cloud covering the top of its cliffs.
