Bavington Crags
Bavington Crags
The trig point above the crags is 248m above sea level. The Crags are a small escarpment of the Whin Sill where bedrock is exposed both in near vertical, low crags, and as slabs on the dip slope. The shallow acid grassland overlying the rock supports a distinctive flora, featuring several nationally uncommon species. The crags are an SSSI designated by English Nature LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link )
