Purple Viper's Bugloss (Echium plantagineum)
Purple Viper's Bugloss (Echium plantagineum)
Seen here at Boscregan, where the National Trust encourages the growth of arable weeds by not using herbicides or fertilisers. This particular flower is quite rare in Britain but grows in abundance in the fields around here - see SW3629 : Purple Viper's Bugloss (Echium plantagineum).
